Today I learned my iPhone is keeping track of everywhere I go. In one of the latest software updates for the iPhone, Apple has included a file that is appended to with coordinates of where the iPhone is located up to 100 times a day. Essentially it keeps track of everywhere you go with your iPhone, all day every day.
Initially, this was kind of scary to think about but after finding that someone has made an application (for Macs) that finds the file, opens it and displays all the data on a map for you, suddenly all thoughts about why Apple is collecting this data vanished and it all became very interesting and kind of cool.
According to the application, my iPhone has been tracked since 29/07/2010 which is the day I bought my iPhone 4. Just so you know, this applies to everyone who has an iPhone, so if you have one, the same information is being tracked about you. Not only has it tracked my whereabouts in Australia (pictured above) but it also followed me in Europe (below).
Cool right? If you think it is then here is a link to download and use the application yourself.
Update: It has come across my mind that this is actually a pretty neat tool for tracking where you travel abroad. The above image gives a pretty good outline of where I went and what I may have seen during my time in Europe. If you are traveling abroad soon, I encourage you to take your iPhone and on your return home use this app to get your map!
I have been home from my travels to Europe for over a month now and life has gone back to normal. I have been thinking a lot about travel lately. I really miss my time away in London and Paris.

I went overseas quite a lot as a kid on family holidays including to places like America, Thailand, Hawaii and New Caledonia. I've also been traveling more recently, with friends, to places like New Zealand, China and Borneo. This year we had a family trip to London to see my sister get married.
I have been in London for the past few days. It has been weird seeing where my sister has been spending the past few years. My whole family is coming over for my sisters wedding in a couple of weeks.
I'm flying to London today! I'm finally getting to see my sister and where she has been living this whole time. My whole family is heading over for her wedding which is on February 19.
I love surfing. I have been surfing for a number of years now but last year was easily my favorite. For years my friends and I have been surfing on the long stretch of sand at Cronulla beach, however, last year we decided to change that.
Grooveshark is the best music streaming player available on the internet. If you haven't tried it, you really should. It has every song you could ever hope for and it's all free to use.
A few years ago I bought myself a coffee machine. It was pretty expensive and I wanted to make sure it would be used enough to make up for the big price tag. Since then I have used it basically every day.
I am a huge fan of the TV shows called I survived and I Shouldn't Be Alive. They each tell powerful true stories about people who set off looking for adventure/controlled-danger and eventually end up fighting for their life.
The stories come in all sorts of extremes - from being attacked by bears; lost in the jungle; stranded in the desert or lost at sea etc.
