I have seized many opportunities to travel abroad. Destinations have included China, New Zealand (twice), Borneo, England and France. Each trip has felt like a completely new experience and valuable learning curve.

China

My first time overseas without family. I traveled with a very good friend of mine who was visiting family, they didn\'t speak any english. We were therefore able to live in the community as locals. It was a special time being able to visit a country and live in it and see it as a local. Cities/towns we visited include Shanghai, Hong Kong, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Beijing and Xiian.

New Zealand

Two years in a row I traveled with some of my best friends. Staying in Queenstown, we spent most our time snowboarding and also fulfilled the longtime dream of bungee jumping.

Borneo

At the end of 2008, I decided to leave full-time work in order to look for and accept more opportunities to travel. Christmas holidays were coming and I was thinking of doing two subjects over the break. I can vividly remember the moment when I heard my brother Luke talking about going to a country called Borneo. I thought it sounded a lot more interesting than the accounting subjects that I was reading about at the time, so I asked if he would want me to come along. The next thing we knew we were cycling across Borneo.

England

February 2011 saw to my sister getting married in London. As anyone would hope, the whole family was able to travel over and attend the service. I spent a week skateboarding through and exploring the streets of London and visited Bristol on the west coast.

France

Another longtime dream of mine was to travel abroad alone. This became a reality when I arrived in Paris on my own doing and spent a week walking the streets enjoying freedom, responsibilities and interesting characters in hostels that came with it. Later I escaped the city for some quality time out in the country in Bayeux where I hired a bike and cycled to the D-Day beaches.
